Instituted: 29 July 1903 (Copenhagen and Frederiksberg), 5 December 1973 (the rest of Denmark). Awarded: For 25 years' good service in organisations or fire brigades. A silver oakleaf is added to the ribbon after 40 years' service and a gold one after 50 years' service. Each organisation or brigade awards its own medal, but all use the yellow ribbon.
