Awarded: To senior officers for distinguished service and excellent command of Army, Navy or Air Force formations, to foreign officers for distinguished service rendered to the Armed Forces or the Republic, and to citizens who have engaged in acts and services of excellence of benefit to the Armed Forces and the Greek Nation.
