Ribbon: Dark blue edges fading through white to a green centre.

Instituted: 1982.

Awarded: For 30 days' service between 2 April and 14 June 1982 between 7° and 60° (i.e. on or south of Ascension Island), the rosette being added for 1 day or 1 operational sortie within 35° to 60° south. Most medals were awarded with the rosette.
